This year we’ll pay special attention to the types of robots that will help us as we grow old, enable us to live independently, keep us company and help us as our brains fail us. Teams will explore social robotics, consumer robotics and healthcare robotics for challenges such as aging at home and assisting people with dementia.
Every team is provided with a kit of tech including hardware, electronics, and building materials – everything you need to prototype your robot. (participants will work in teams of 3) A team of experienced mentors will be available to help too! Get Your Bot On! is a not-for-profit organization that produces robotics hackathons: Do-It-Together events where unlikely collaborators from diverse backgrounds build their robot prototype ideas. Come and give your innovation muscles a workout!
