Hosted by KMDI, Dr Mark Staveley elaborated on his work with Azure and informational systems on September 29.
Dr. Staveley, Senior Program Manager with Azure’s High Performance Computing team, spoke to KMDI and partner students during an informal lunch and learn. Students heard from him about the importance of interdisciplinary research and different approaches to the processing of genomic workloads among other topics.
Earlier in the day, Dr. Staveley had an informative Q & A session where students from across U of T were able to ask questions ranging from his experience in the industry to the creation of cloud computing platforms .
