About the event
The KMDI Makerspace is pleased to present a monthly event for Linux users (and the Linux-curious) to meet IRL. The club is an informal drop-in for Linux enthusiasts to co-work, skill-share, and foster offline community. Visitors can also learn about the makerspace and the free resources we offer (like 3D printing and electronic prototyping) to add to your hacking repertoire! The event is hosted by makerspace technician Cookie Brunel who’s interest in Linux aligns with technological movements such as degrowth, degoogling, permacomuting, and anti-surveillance. People of all Linux skill levels welcome! No specific activity is planned for the first session; bring a laptop to work or just meet and chat with new people. A computer will also be available to try Linux if you do not have your own.
