Get Your Bot On! is a not-for-profit organization that produces robotics hackathons. Robots are increasingly a part of our everyday lives and we believe everyone should have basic literacy in this exciting field. We also believe that anyone can make robots with some open tech, a few tools, and a little help. By bringing together unlikely collaborators from different backgrounds we have seen innovative and exciting ideas come to life.
We are looking for interns to help with the upcoming hackathon at the Ontario Science Centre November 14-16, 2014. This year’s hackathon theme is “Positronic: Robots and Brains”. We expect between 150 and 200 people to attend the event and participants will include families with young children, students, and corporate teams in addition to our main maker category.
If you enjoy writing, photography, video production, organizing, coordinating or just meeting great people then we have an opportunity for you. Most positions require a few hours a week between now and the event. Some can be concentrated during the event weekend. We would also be happy to work within your program internship requirements, please let us know your own program details.
